Ancient History

These pieces are a non-comprehensive collection of relics from a bygone era—most have long since shuffled off this mortal coil. A select one or two still exist, cloistered in storage, fragile and fading, kept as sacred relics to preserve the story they helped tell. What endures are these photographs: glimpses from a time when the garments lived—worn boldly, moving through the world with purpose and youth. This is their afterlife, an archive of ghosts and sparks, charting the path that led to what I create today.

I didn’t do much sewing on these. I just slapped on some patches and some paint.
I used to swap my pant legs around on all my different colored skinny jeans. It took minimal skill and effort and conveniently shortened the pant legs to better fit my long torso, short leg body.
The green on these sadly wore out much faster than all the other colors, but I can’t really complain when I got the Green Jeans from Wall’s for like a dollar.
Turned a big ol’ 90’s shirt I got from my bro into a dress.
Pretty obvious what’s going on here. I attached two full shirts to the back and used part of a shirt for the front.
